MISSION
The ‘Verse is a massive place, and our goals within it are complex. Command Wing exists to bring Order to the Chaos, providing direction and support to our Wings and the organization as a whole.
Its primary body, the Vanguard Leadership Council, is the top of our Chain of Command, and facilitates our Operational Wings’ Leadership, provides large scale goals, drives or formalizes Policy, and sets our Community Guidelines.

Onboarding
Command Wing works with our incredible Onboarding team to provide a smooth path to Vanguard Membership.
Our Onboarding program is designed to welcome folks into the Vanguard family, giving them opportunities to ask questions and learn about us before choosing their Wing.
In the future, we hope to take learnings from the Security Wing Academy, as well as from our Basic Certifications Program, to provide onboarding members with access to training and resources to be successful both as a Star Citizen and on large scale Operations within Vanguard.
Policy
The VLC sets and maintains our organizational policy and community guidelines, as documented in our Prime Directive, as well as in our Command Library on the Vanguard Internal site.
Policy development is a highly collaborative process, with proposals from our Joint Captaincy and Command, Wing Specific Policies, and suggestions from our wider community constantly being taken into account.
Command Wing works hard to make sure we evolve our policy based on the ever changing needs of our Community and the game.
Administration
Command Wing provides Administrative Support for our Operational Wings and Vanguard as a whole.. This includes driving development for and publishing Certifications, Discord and Site Administration and Moderation, sourcing or developing tools and services, and providing assistance to our Operational Wings for Wing management and restructuring.
