Overview

Frontier Wing’s Transport Group is the backbone that provides Vanguard the galactic reach and power projection it needs to operate as a force within the ‘verse.  Functioning primarily as an org facing asset, Transport utilizes it’s vast cargo and passenger fleet to safely and reliably move Vanguard’s material and manpower to ensure the success of all of its far reaching endeavours.

Mission

Provide safe and reliable transport of organizational assets. Conduct profitable commerce in various commodities. Establish and manage facilities that expand Vanguard’s influence across the galaxy.

Squadrons

Transport Group is composed of three squadrons, each with their own clearly defined role within the Org. A Tranport Group member’s placement in a squadron reflects their desire to focus on a specific logistical proficiency. While members will often be called to fill different roles across the Transport Group, Frontier Wing, or the Vanguard organization in general, the following squadrons are dedicated to the mastery of their respective interests.

This squadron is charged with maintaining the supply lines that are critical for Vanguard to operate effectively as an intergalactic presence. Some of the operations we engage in include: Moving raw ore from our mining outposts to nearby refineries for processing, or processed ore from our ships to our main base for storage or sale; Transporting bulk salvage from our recovery teams hard at work cleaning up battlespaces to a central collection point; Hauling resupply to our Pioneers busily constructing new outposts in the field; Supplying our surface-based outposts (mining facilities, farms and science/research facilities) with parts and equipment needed to maintain operations, such as batteries, food, agricultural supplies and ground support vehicles.

O.S.S. is tasked to get supplies to the far reaching and dangerous parts of the verse ensuring the strength of Vanguard's operations via dependable supply and resupply missions. The Operational Support Squadron forms the backbone of many battle and deep space operations by setting up reliable supply lines to F.O.B’s or hauling extra supplies for long expeditions. O.S.S. has also formed a healthy relationship with the Quartermasters providing them with the necessary supplies to allocate amongst the wings for the appropriate operations. Our professional pilots and load masters brave the dangerous elements of the verse to get food, weapons, medicine and vehicles where they are needed most. While we try to avoid direct combat at all cost, we are not strangers to defending ourselves. We even brave blockaded planets and settlements to get emergency relief supplies to entrenched and desperate people. In the end we get the job done, always living up to our motto “Sustinendum Victoriam”.
